Shin Splints

Shin splints refer to pain along the inner edge of the shinbone (tibia) and are common in runners, dancers, and athletes in high-impact sports. The discomfort is often caused by repetitive stress on the lower leg, especially during activities involving frequent running or jumping. Without treatment, shin splints can worsen and interfere with performance or lead to more serious injuries.
