Tendinitis (De Quervain’s Tenosynovitis) is a condition where the tendons on the thumb side of the wrist become swollen or irritated, making it painful to move your thumb or wrist, especially when gripping or turning objects.

Causes and Risk Factors:

  • Repetitive thumb or wrist movements, such as  texting, typing, or lifting a baby

  • Pregnancy or hormonal changes, which can cause swelling in the tendons
