Golfer’s Elbow (Medial Epicondylitis)

Golfer’s elbow is a condition where the tendons on the inside of the elbow become irritated or swollen, causing pain in the elbow, wrist, and forearm, especially when gripping, lifting, or bending the wrist. It’s not just for golfers—anyone who overuses their forearm can get it.

Causes and Risk Factors:

  • Repetitive wrist or arm movements, like lifting, throwing, or typing
  • Overuse of the forearm muscles, especially in sports or physical jobs
  • Poor technique during sports or workouts
  • Jobs or activities that involve gripping or twisting often
  • Weak muscles or bad posture, which can put extra stress on the elbow tendons

What Happens If Left Untreated?

If not treated, golfer’s elbow can lead to long-lasting pain, weak grip, and limited arm movement, making it hard to carry, hold, or lift things.
